And this, whether to enjoy the waves during a surfing session, to discover the Pointe during a hike or to visit its museum in the town of Saint-Gu\u00e9nol\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h2>Pointe de la Torche: presentation of this point of Finist\u00e8re<\/h2>\n<p>In the Bigouden country in Finist\u00e8re, more precisely in Plomeur, find the Pointe de la Torche, Beg an Dorchenn in Breton, a rocky promontory which closes the Bay of Audierne at its extreme south-west, but above all which presents many advantages during of your vacation in Brittany!<\/p>\n<p>Wild land, at high or low tide, in good or bad weather, Pointe de la Torche offers a breathtaking panorama of the Bay of Audierne and a feeling of reaching the end of the world. The tulip fields are of magnificence and purity to be seen absolutely between March and April.<\/p>\n<p>Pointe de la Torche is also a historic place with various megalithic sites dating back more than 5000 years. You can discover a tumulus topped by a dolmen and a covered path. You can finally visit its museum of Finist\u00e8re prehistory in Saint-Gu\u00e9nol\u00e9, a true testimony to human activity on Pointe de la Torche in the past century.<\/p>\n<h2>Pointe de la Torche: an unmissable surf spot<\/h2>\n<p>Pointe de la Torche is a peninsula in Finist\u00e8re ideal for understanding the history of ancient populations, but it is also an excellent surfing spot in Brittany. Whether you are an amateur or experienced surfer, you undoubtedly know that Pointe de la Torche is one of the most coveted and known spots in France for surfing and other board sports. International competitions are held there regularly to bring together high-level athletes from all over the world. So take advantage of your stay at our campsite in southern Finist\u00e8re to practice surfing in this exceptional spot.<\/p>\n<h2>Pointe de la Torche: the tour<\/h2>\n<p>To admire all the splendors of Pointe de la Torche and discover its most mythical places, we offer you a short hiking tour very close to the point.<\/p>\n<h3>Dolmen of Pointe de la Torche<\/h3>\n<p>From Pointe de la Torche, head north! On the site, at the highest point of the peninsula, you can discover the Pointe de la Torche dolmen, a megalithic dry stone monument with a compartmentalized chamber and corridor which dates back more than 6000 years. Just 1 km from the tip, you can enjoy Torche beach.<\/p>\n<h3>Trono\u00ebn beach and Notre-Dame chapel<\/h3>\n<p>Then continue all the way north on the coastal path to Trono\u00ebn Beach! There you can see the Trono\u00ebn Blockhaus, a witness to the German presence in the region. But the most astonishing thing is that every year, it is submerged by sand due to coastal erosion.<\/p>\n<p>Then, turn left to the Notre-Dame de Trono\u00ebn Chapel! On the way, you can discover the St Maudez Fountain dating from the 15th century which supplied a wash house and a pond. Out of devotion, the Bravigou tradition is still practiced there, that of throwing pieces of porcelain or pieces as offerings at the bottom of the pool. As for the Notre-Dame de Trono\u00ebn chapel, it represents a beautiful religious building from the 15th century. Its great particularity is its monumental ordeal from 1450 in memory of the crucifixion, one of the 7 ordeals still present in Brittany.<\/p>\n<h3>Lanven and Beuzec<\/h3>\n<p>Leaving the chapel, take the road towards Lanven, a small hamlet which will allow you to take a break or have something to eat! Continue all the way south towards Beuzec, another hamlet well known for its chapel, a timeless beauty at the bend in the road, as well as its Christianized stele. Then, take the small southwest path towards Kerloc\u2019h and continue straight on until the main road. Turn left and find Pointe de la Torche.
